Reflexology is
a popular and relaxing holistic treatment based on the principle that reflex
points on the soles, tops and sides of feet are connected to corresponding
areas throughout the body. In this way, the feet can be seen as a "map"

of Reflexology: "After the trauma of a heart attack and having to start taking a cocktail of tablets which began to upset my stomach, I began to feel very depressed. Not wanting to take anymore prescription drugs, my wife suggested I try alternative treatments. She herself had had Reflexology in the past, so I decided to give it a try. On my first treatment in April 2008, I was amazed at some of the things Carole picked up on, such as old injuries from the past of which I had not told her about. These were problems with my ears and other past medical conditions. The Reflexology treatment consisted of having my feet gently massaged for about an hour, after which I felt totally relaxed and very calm. I had one treatment per week for the next month which really did help with my depression.
